First show of 2020. None other than, the legendary Air Supply at the Twin River Casino Event Center. The music of Air Supply is part of the music that defined the era of the early 1980's. You were either a young adult starting out your life, or you were a child riding in your parents car with an Air Supply song playing on the radio. Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock have been making music and touring the world for the past 45 years. With their iconic hits, “All Out of Love”, “The One That You Love”, “Making Love Out of Nothing At All” and “Even the Nights Are Better”, to mention a few.
As I watched them perform I could not help but think about the music that they had created together. Timeless classics that for many, have evoked feelings of love, romance and relationships spanning the past forty-five years. In that time, just imagine how many times an Air Supply song has been played at a wedding, a prom or other significant romantic point in a couple’s life. Air Supply created melodic love anthems that relationships were built by. A good show, they sounded great. It was a sold out crowd. Even with a “finger point” shot by Hitchcock, acknowledging me in the photo pit.
